It has been over a year since the acquisition by Hill International and we are delighted to announce that Knowles is celebrating one of its most successful years in business. Crucially, we have made some very valuable additions to the team and, in terms of the way business is done, we've never been more productive or successful than in the past year. The merger with Hill has opened up new doors in respect of the types of contracts we are getting involved in both in the UK and around the world.

Benefits of the takeover can also be seen in our financial results. Recent figures published by Hill International reveal that revenue in our construction claims group - which includes Knowles - has increased by 276% in the first half of this year.

Having completed the first year under new ownership, the coming 12 months look no less eventful. Plans are already well underway to rebrand Knowles in Scotland, as well as some UK offices, to Hill International, while the contracts and clients we are winning are growing in number and significance.

In reality, there has been surprisingly little change at the coal-face since the Hill acquisition. Many staff say that after the sale process, there has been far less upheaval than some people forecast. We now have an unrivalled network of expertise to call upon, which is invaluable to clients in delivering the optimum solution for their projects.

One of the most significant decisions made by Hill International since the takeover was to wind up Knowles's associated solicitors practice CLL Solicitors, allowing us to re-establish strong links with law firms, for whom we carry out a growing level of expert witness work.

The changes within the business in the past year are not just anecdotal. We are now the largest construction contracts and claims consultancy in the UK and the world, in addition to being one of the largest pure project management firms. Our next aim is to further expand the project management side of our business in the UK to give construction firms here access to the full range of Hill International services.

We are also delighted to announce the recent acquisition of KJM and Associates Ltd, a US based project management firm, to further strengthen and expand our global team. In addition, Hill has repeatedly been recognised for its achievements in 2007, both as one of the fastest growing firms in the industry as well as for excellence in the management of our client's projects.

Our first year post acquisition has been both challenging and successful, full of change and growth. We believe it has been one of the great successes of the past twelve months. Hill have brought a positive and proactive management style that has been really refreshing, and the feedback we have had from clients has been very positive.
