MARLTON, N.J., Feb 16, 2010 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX News Network) -- Hill International (NYSE:HIL), the global leader in managing construction risk, announced today that Irvin E. Richter, Hill's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, has been named to the New Jersey Business Hall of Fame. Richter was one of four Laureates named this year.
"Laureates serve as role models for the next generation of New Jersey's business leaders and I am pleased to welcome these four deserving individuals into the NJBHOF," said Dave Weaving, the Event Chair.
The New Jersey Business Hall of Fame is supported by its three partnering organizations: Junior Achievement of New Jersey, The Star-Ledger and the New Jersey Business & Industry Association. Induction as a Laureate into the New Jersey Business Hall of Fame is a lifetime achievement award for individuals making a significant, positive impact on New Jersey. Inductees consistently demonstrate throughout their professional lives high ethical standards, mentorship, community involvement and innovative leadership.
Richter founded Hill in 1976 and built the company into one of the premier construction consulting firms in the world. He is a member of the World Presidents' Organization (WPO) and the Construction Industry Round Table (CIRT). Richter is a current or past member of the Board of Trustees of Rutgers University, the Board of Directors of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), the Board of Governors of Temple University Hospital and the Board of Directors of the ACE Mentor Program. He has been honored as a Distinguished Alumnus by both Wesleyan University and Rutgers University School of Law at Camden and as a Fellow by the CMAA. Richter holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University and a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law at Camden.
This year's class of Laureates will be inducted on Thursday, April 29, 2010, at The Mezzanine, 744 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey, where they will be presented awards of recognition and introduced by youth from Newark's Lincoln School, all of whom are Junior Achievement students. The students will present along side a person of significance in the lives of each honoree. The event begins with a Laureate Meet and Greet cocktail reception at 6:00 pm, followed by the awards presentation and dinner commencing at 7:00 pm.
Hill International, with 2,300 employees in 80 offices worldwide, provides program management, project management, construction management and construction claims and consulting services.
