Middle East - Claims Preparation, Appraisal, Defence
Knowles has both legal and technical experience thus providing clients with best value solutions. This often involves large and flexible staff resources who can be mobilised to work at a client's office or site to prepare, appraise or defend claims for extensions of time, prolongation costs, disruption costs, acceleration costs or recovery of disputed variations. Knowles provides its clients with powerful and experienced teams that combine the three crucial elements necessary for the proper analysis of claims; legal, time and financial aspects.
Knowles are requested to provide advice on claims at three different stages of a project:
1. At the outset to ensure the proper evaluation and payment of contractual entitlement throughout the duration of the project, thereby seeking to avoid the onset of a claims situation.
2. During the construction phase when a claim situation arises. The involvement of Knowles at an early stage will ensure proper records are kept and that there is an early claim submission establishing contractual and financial entitlements.
3. In cases where a contractor has a difficulty in establishing an entitlement to claim or has not received proper payment for claims matters. Knowles staff will review the prepared claims and, if necessary, amend relevant issues and represent the claims in a persuasive, skilful and professional manner.
