Gas field and reception terminal, West Coast of Ireland, ongoing
Knowles is providing contractual advice and claims advice on disputes that have arisen on a proposed development of an offshore gas field and an onshore gas reception terminal.
Kejuruteraan QKS Sdn Bhd, Malaysia, ongoing
Knowles provides a retainer service to our client to assist with the procurement, construction & commissioning of natural gas pipeline & meter station for Perlis Lateral Pipeline Project. We have also provided a contract review and contract drafting services.
Pipeline Project in Italy
Knowles worked on a 125 klm LNG Pipeline Project in Italy in 2002. We prepared a claim and this was settled. Knowles was based on site to oversee the reference.
Pipeline Project in Portugal
Knowles assisted on a 37 klm LNG Pipeline Project in Portugal. This was for Primary Gas Distribution in Lisbon and Portugal. Knowles was based on site to oversee and manage an arbitration.
Gas Platform on the Western Coast of Australia
Knowles worked on a claim for 2 pipe lines from the platform to the beach. There was a geological problem associated with the installation of a pipe line on the sea bed, which made installation of the pipeline problematic. Geological information provided was not correct and caused delays and design changes. Knowles produced a report and the claim was settled quickly.
Shell , UK
The client brief was to defend Shell against a £26M claim made by Press Construction in relation to the fabrication and erection of the new Naphtha Minus Plant. Preparation of detailed "cause and effect" analysis over all aspects of Press Construction's activity on shop fabrication, overseas transport, inland transport, site erection, commissioning, snagging and performance testing. Settlement was achieved at less than 10% of the original claim amount.
Gas Separation Plant, Marmul, Sultanate of Oman
Knowles ( Middle East ) Limited provided services to the EPC Contractor, Bechtel/Snamprogetti on the contractual and commercial aspects of a potential dispute on the gas process plant at Marmul.
LNG Tank Farm, Sur, Sultanate of Oman
Knowles (Middle East) Limited provided claim preparation services on behalf of the main contractor for a major tank farm installation in Muscat.
