Energy - Nuclear Industry - Decommissioning

Knowles understands the sweeping changes ahead as the UK enters a lengthy period of decommissioning many of their nuclear reactors. The National Decommissioning Authority is a public body formed by an Act of Parliament in 2004. Their purpose is to oversee and manage the decommissioning and clean-up of the UK's civil nuclear legacy. Their role is to define best practice in this new industry, and develop a world-class centre of expertise that can deliver the very best solutions for local communities, for the taxpayer and for the environment.

The contracts to help in this massive clean-up operation span some 15 years and are worth £50bn. We have worked with many of the companies who are placed to enter this difficult and technically challenging business sector and can offer services which will help many businesses achieve success within this sector.
